Say It Loud Lady’s Tee
Music has always been an outlet for the rebellious young generation. This was no different in 1968 when James Brown released “Say It Loud, I’m Black and I’m Proud.” Mr. Brown was a music pioneer and outspoken advocate for Black empowerment. This song was released four months after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It was popular with Black soldiers serving during the Vietnam War, as the Black power movement moved from America’s inner cities to the battlefields. Say it loud!
